TRANSCENDENCE

So this week when so many people are reflecting upon the power of light over darkness, I thought it would be the perfect weekend to visit one of the most stellar new attractions with a thriller view in New York City, The One Vanderbilt Building.

This not to be missed site is located at 45 E 42nd Street and just opened last fall. "We invite you to extend the horizon of your imagination, and reconsider what is possible." Dancing in the clouds surrounded by light and reflection with breath taking views of the city was definitely a one of a kind experience for me and nothing like I had ever experienced before!

The floors are divided into different themes:

Air - a physics-defying walk through art experience and story of literal and figurative reflections.

Transcendence - a chapter of AIT that mixes transparency and selectivity to create the illusion of boundless space.

Affinity - a chapter of AIR that becomes playful and interactive.

Levitation - transparent glass enclosed skyboxes extending over 1,000 ft. about Madison Avenue

Outdoor Terrace - wrap around open air viewing spot to take in incredible views for up to 80 miles.

Apres - Indoor cafe and outdoor bar featuring a curated menu of light fare and cocktails.

What a wonderful moment that awakened my senses, piqued my curiosity, expanded my imagination and provided a moment of spring transcendence over one of the most exciting cities in the world...and so many new friends to be made as cell phones are passed to total strangers for that coveted photo of this time in the sky!
